Elke Finkenauer is an emerging artist who explores the language of drawing through a variety of mediums and materials. Her work often traverses the space between two-dimensionality and three-dimensionality.
Elke was a finalist in the Wallace Art Awards in 2012 and 2010, the OBJECTive Art Award in 2011, and won best visual art work at Metonymy 2011 (Corban Estate Arts Centre). She has exhibited widely in the Auckland region.
Elke was born in New Zealand, of New Zealand and German descent. Elke has lived and worked in New Zealand and the UK. She is currently studying at Elam, where she will commence post-graduate study in 2013.
